Review by hotel critic
I recently enjoyed a gourmet getaway at the Chateau in the stunning Berjaya Hills, an easy hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur. The ambiance of the property is quite impressive, nestled among lush tropical forests far removed from the bustling energy of Genting. Breakfast at Kampung Bukit Tinggi was a delightful experience, offering an extensive buffet that included a live egg station and an array of noodle options. I particularly enjoyed how diverse the breakfast spread was, catering to various tastes. During my stay, we dined at the Indian fine dining restaurant, Le Rouge. The culinary innovation on offer was impressive, with dishes thoughtfully presented in an elegant setting. The attentive staff, while some were not fully fluent in English, always ensured we were well taken care of, tracking down a translator when needed. The Chateau provides a welcoming environment, perfect for relaxation and fine dining-a hidden gem for food enthusiasts.
